Türkiye says nothing can prevent it from ensuring state security

Turkish Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar has said that steps to ensure the security of the state and its borders are the legal right of Türkiye.

He tweeted the statement on August 23 commenting on the likelihood of launching a new anti-terror operation in northern Syria, Caliber.Az reports.

“Türkiye will take all necessary steps to protect its security. So it was, and so it will be! Nothing will stop us. Actions will be taken regardless of who supports the terrorists,” Akar said.

The minister said that Türkiye’s only goal is to destroy the terrorists. “The operation will be carried out at the right time and place for Ankara,” he assured.

Akar also noted Ankara's determination to defend its interests in the region.
