Ukraine receives more than $1 billion in grant aid from the US

Ukraine received the first financial grant from the United States in the amount of $1.3 billion.

The news came from Kyiv’s Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal on June 29, according to RBC-Ukraine.

The prime minister said this was only the first grant under the $7.5 billion US financial aid package to his country.

For his part, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko said that the next delivery of the grant from Washington is expected in July.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has recently announced the allocation of additional financial assistance to Ukraine for $500 million.
