US, Armenia discuss Yerevan-Baku normalisation
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and US State Department's Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono met to discuss the process of normalisation of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, press service of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers said.
The sides noted the importance of continuing negotiations between Yerevan and Baku, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.
"The sides exchanged views on the Armenian PM's recent meetings with the leaders of the EU and a number of European countries in Spain's Granada," the report says.
Earlier, the US diplomat also visited Baku, where he held meetings with the Azerbaijani leadership.
“While in [Azerbaijani capital] Baku yesterday, [US] Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono met with high-level officials to discuss US support for the parties in reaching a durable and dignified peace in the South Caucasus. Dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia is essential to resolving this longstanding conflict,” the US Embassy in Baku wrote on X on October 10.
It should be noted that this is Bono's second visit to the South Caucus in the last month.
