Volumes transported through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline increases

164,380 thousand barrels of oil were transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC) from the period of January to September, an increase of 10.9% from the previous year.

As APA reports citing the Turkish state-owned pipeline company BOTAŞ, 148,199 thousand barrels were carried during the same period last year, while the total oil volume for 2021 reached 200,149 thousand barrels. This was a decrease by 2.8% from 2020.

Caliber.Az recalls, that the BTC pipeline is carrying Azerbaijani oil, drilled from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field, through the territories of Georgia and Turkey, as well as oil from other sources.
