Western Azerbaijani Community renews dialogue call on Armenia

The Community of Western Azerbaijan welcomes the August 1, 2023 remarks by President Ilham Aliyev made in an interview with Euronews, supporting the right of return of Azerbaijanis, forcibly deported from Armenia, as part of the diplomatic process to normalize relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“The safe and dignified return of Azerbaijanis, expelled from Armenia to their homes, along with ensuring human rights, is a condition for a lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Community of Western Azerbaijan expresses its deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his principled and consistent policy to ensure the rights of Azerbaijanis, expelled from Armenia, and bring this issue to the attention of the international community. The Community of Western Azerbaijan once again calls on the government of Armenia to respect human rights and international law, ensure the realization of the right of the expelled Azerbaijanis to return, and start a dialogue with it,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the statement of the community.
