Kübler-Ross model for World Armenians
And hysteria over media forum in Shusha

    ANALYTICS  23 July 2023 - 16:06

The Kübler-Ross model is a description of the emotional state of terminally ill people or people who have lost their loved ones. There are five of them: denial and isolation, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Armenia, despite the almost three years that have passed since Azerbaijan's victory in the 44-day war, is still in an intermediate state between the first and second stages described by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross.

Was it possible to heal and move on to accepting a new reality for a given time period? In the case of the Armenian side, it is unlikely. Because Armenian society still lives with numerous myths, dreaming about “miatsum” and “Armenia from sea to sea”, retelling to each other quotes from Pliny the Younger and Herodotus about the “invincibility” of Armenian soldiers that did not take place in reality.

No achievements of mankind, no scientific and technological progress has affected the vitality of these anecdotal myths. This happens, among other things, due to the fact that almost the only well-established mechanism in the activities of the Armenians is the machine of lies and propaganda. It creates a parallel reality in the minds of ordinary Armenians. The one in which the Armenian army did not flee the battlefield, but made “tactical retreats”. The one in which Armenia lost the war not to Azerbaijan, but almost to the whole world.

Once again, this machine of lies and propaganda was launched at full capacity at the end of this week, when the Global Media Forum was held in the liberated, rapidly resurgent Shusha. The event was attended by 150 foreign guests from 49 countries, including representatives of state news agencies from 34 countries, 12 international organizations, and media structures. In addition, 60 heads and employees of local media were among the participants.

Azerbaijan, which is the leading economic and political center of the South Caucasus, is attractive to experts from all over the world. Especially when it comes to a large-scale media forum in Shusha, where there is an opportunity not only to communicate with colleagues from different countries but also to see with your own eyes the enormous pace of work already carried out and ongoing to restore the liberated territories. It's so interesting!

Fortunately, Azerbaijan has something to show - from international airports in Fizuli and Zangilan, built after the victory in the 44-day war, and ending with those settlements where Azerbaijani citizens have already returned. Modern multi-lane roads, tunnels, all the infrastructure necessary for a comfortable life - all this could be seen with your own eyes.

And most importantly, the participants of the Global Media Forum in Shusha had the opportunity to communicate directly with one of the brightest political figures of our time - the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. He, who speaks brilliantly several languages, is able to give deep, detailed answers to any questions of journalists, is an interesting interlocutor for any media.

Well, it’s not for them to go to Yerevan to listen to the tongue-tied, notorious, and confused Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan! He won't say anything interesting. Maximum - laugh voiced absurdities. But even the opportunity to laugh at Pashinyan is a dubious “lure” for reputable world media. They can do all this remotely, without visiting Armenia, but simply by watching the speeches of Nikol Vovayevich.

Another thing is that Armenian propagandists are now tearing and rushing about, voicing such ridiculous statements that not only Pashinyan but also Misha Galustyan is left to nervously smoke on the sidelines. What is even the ridiculous postulate about “temporarily Armenian-occupied Shusha” worth? Even in those years when the cradle of Azerbaijani culture was occupied by Armenia, no one officially recognized Shusha as Armenian. Nothing helped the Armenian side present the matter differently. Even the periodic delivery - by fraud and money - of some foreign journalists to the then-occupied Shusha. Many of them, by the way, later repented and cursed the Armenian side, which dragged them into a provocation.

This is the huge difference between us. Azerbaijan does everything legally, according to international law, openly, while Armenia has always played around, lied, dodged. Exactly the same thing she, through the hands of her propagandists, is doing now. Moreover, what is especially funny, they spit on the statements of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, who announced the recognition of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, including the Karabakh economic region.

That is, including Khankandi, which is visible from the plain of Jidir Duzu, as in the palm of your hand. And all foreign participants of the Global Media Forum in Shusha had the opportunity to see with their own eyes that Khankandi shimmers with lights, there is electricity, trucks, and cars drive there. That is, there is no “humanitarian crisis” about which Armenian propagandists have been falsely trumpeting for several months now.

Therefore, the hysterical appeal of Armenian journalistic organizations to media representatives who took part in the Global Media Forum in Shusha looks rather ridiculous. In this appeal, full of impotent malice and poorly concealed envy, they babble something else about a policy that "goes against the fundamental values of the civilized world." No, they are not talking about their country, which kept 20% of the territories of Azerbaijan under occupation for almost three decades.

Not about Armenia, which ignored the resolutions of the UN Security Council. Not about Armenia, guilty of the Genocide of the peaceful Azerbaijani population in Khojaly. Not about Armenia, whose second president is the author of the phrase about "the genetic incompatibility of Armenians and Azerbaijanis." Not about Armenia, which during the 44-day war shelled the peaceful Azerbaijani cities of Ganja and Barda, which led to the death of our children, the elderly, and women.

All this is “forgotten” by Armenian propagandists hysterical because of the media forum. As well as the fact that on the territory of Azerbaijan, in Khankandi and its environs, Armenians, holders of RA passports, illegally reside. There, on our land, there are still no true owners of it - Azerbaijanis. But everything has its time. Azerbaijanis will return to Khankandi and all settlements of the Karabakh economic region. And this will be another new reality for the Armenian side. Which has yet to go through all the stages of the Kübler-Ross model, including the eventual acceptance of reality.

But something tells me that the envy and hysteria of the Armenian propagandists will haunt me for a very long time. After all, given the success of the current Global Media Forum, the President of Azerbaijan proposed to hold a similar format of communication with the world media on a regular basis…
