Armenia conducts house-to-house searches in apartments, offices of nationalists

Representatives of Armenian security forces are conducting a search in the apartment of Jirair Sefilian, a member of the council of the nationalist “National Democratic Pole” in Yerevan.

“Since early morning, the National Security Service and the police have been conducting massive searches in the apartments of council members, supporters and adherents of the National Democratic Pole, as well as in their offices,” the press service of the National Democratic Pole said, Caliber.Az reports referring to the Armenian media.

Searches are also carried out in the apartments of organization activists Karo Yegnukyan, Ashot Petrosyan, Vahagn Avagyan and Vahe Gasparyan. As a result of the probes, documents and items of interest to the investigation were discovered and confiscated, including weapons, ammunition, plans, diagrams, drug-like substances, etc.

In particular, two grenades were found in the office of the organization, as well as many documents and items of interest to the investigation.
