Chairman: Azerbaijan pays great attention to tourism sector development

The tourism sector of Azerbaijan has achieved full recovery this year, marked by a notable increase in tourist arrivals, bolstering the local economy.
Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Tourism Agency, Fuad Nagiyev, made this announcement during his speech at the panel session titled "Tourism as a Tool to Unite People and Promote Intercultural Dialogue," held as part of the VI World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.
Nagiyev underscored Azerbaijan's steadfast commitment to the development of its tourism sector, emphasizing the country's abundant tourism potential.
"Tourism not only drives economic growth but also serves as a vehicle for uniting people," he stated.
Highlighting the profound impact of tourism on fostering intercultural dialogue, Nagiyev emphasized the growing interconnectedness between people of diverse cultures facilitated by the influx of tourists worldwide. "Tourism plays a pivotal role in promoting understanding and cooperation among nations," he added.
The resurgence of Azerbaijan's tourism sector comes as a testament to the nation's resilience and commitment to restoring vital industries amidst global challenges. With its rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and warm hospitality, Azerbaijan continues to attract visitors from around the globe, contributing to the promotion of intercultural understanding and dialogue on a global scale.
