Armenian myths collapse, Azerbaijani realities triumph
    Futile hope for revenge

    ANALYTICS  27 June 2024 - 17:11

Armenia and other countries have closely monitored, are monitoring and will continue monitoring the process of strengthening the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, which celebrated the 106th anniversary on June 26.

The Azerbaijani army celebrated the holiday as a victorious army that managed to debunk many myths of the Armenian society. In particular, the matter rests in the myth of the “invincibility” of the army of the occupying country. This myth was created by the so-called “Karabakh clan”, which seized power in Armenia for many years.

Robert Kocharyan, Serzh Sargsyan, Seyran Ohanyan came up with and replicated this myth with one simple goal - to justify the usurpation of power in Armenia. They were constantly engaged in robbery in Armenia, as well as in the territories of Azerbaijan occupied during that period. The nonsense was constantly heard within the Armenian myth-making show. They even mentioned Strabo, Pliny the Younger and Herodotus, Alexander the Great.

The Armenians inflicted defeat on Alexander the Great’s army once, somewhere, somehow unnoticed in the world history. They searched and “found” the Armenian origin among many great commanders within the same myth-making show. Thus, both Alexander Suvorov and Napoleonic Marshal, King of the Kingdom of Naples Joachim Murat allegedly had Armenian origin. It is clear that this was a primitive, easily verifiable lie. However, Armenian myth-making process is strictly observed in Goebbels traditions, when a lie repeated many times by someone and somewhere can be perceived as truth.

Moreover, those Armenian military leaders who took part in the occupation of Azerbaijani lands during the first Karabakh war were also mythologized. Manvel Grigoryan became the “hero of Artsakh”, Deputy Defence Minister of the Republic of Armenia. He was notorious for the monstrous tortures towards innocent women, children and old people in Khojaly. He was also stealing food from the Armenian military personnel. This thief and murderer was described as a “hero” in the Armenian mythology.

It is noteworthy that Grigoryan managed to see the defeat of the Armenian army in the 44-day second Karabakh war. He died on November 18, 2020, as a prisoner in a pre-trial detention centre in Armenia, although he should have been sentenced at the International Criminal Tribunal in The Hague.

Kocharyan, Sargsyan, Ohanyan and others who participated in crimes against the Azerbaijani people should have also been sentenced there. They also saw the brilliant victories of the Azerbaijani army and the collapse of numerous Armenian myths.

Moreover, these victories began during the presidency of Serzh Sargsyan, that’s the four-day April 2016 battles. Sargsyan understood everything well. That’s why he tried to present the defeat of the Armenian army as its “victory”.

The endlessly repeated lie did not help him. He lost power. However, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who came to power in Armenia, also took up myth-making. He believed that the Armenian army was “invincible”. He made provocative speeches that “Karabakh is Armenia, that’s it”. The Armenians committed a provocation in the direction of Azerbaijan’s Tovuz district in summer 2020.

Armenian former Defence Minister David Tonoyan also said that the new Armenian-Azerbaijani war will result in the seizure of new Azerbaijani territories. The Armenian society constantly heard these myths and was shocked when the Armenian army was completely defeated during the 44-day second Karabakh war. Armenian ordinary citizens simply could not believe that their beloved myth was so easily and completely debunked by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

Later, the Azerbaijani army perfectly carried out an operation to clear the territory of illegal armed groups in Farukh village. Not only this village, but also Mount Farukh, Dashbashi and Saribaba heights in the Khojaly district were taken under control.

Alas, the Armenian side did not calm down. The Karabakh junta was provided with weapons and ammunition. During an interview with AzTV, Azerbaijani Defence Minister Zakir Hasanov unveiled the facts about the scale of the impending military provocation against Azerbaijan.

He noted that as a result of a one-day anti-terrorist operation in September 2023, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces captured numerous trophies, namely, ammunition, military equipment, more than 100,000 small arms.

“According to the Armenians’ plan, if a war broke out here, they would bring those who are in reserve and use them,” Hasanov said.

This statement is a strike towards Yerevan and all voluntary and selfish defenders of Armenia. Azerbaijan carried out a brilliant anti-terrorist operation, which it had every reason to carry out. Azerbaijan is ready for any new military provocations by Armenia, to which Yerevan is being pushed by various curators.

Azerbaijani Defence Minister Zakir Hasanov said that Azerbaijan already has the opportunity to meet the needs of the Azerbaijani army by at least 70 per cent.

“Our goal is to bring small arms to a higher level. We have set the goal of providing ourselves with other shells and missiles. Mr. President makes statements. All the instructions are fulfilled. A lot of work is being carried out,” he said.

Of course, this statement was heard in Yerevan, in Paris and in other countries.

Moreover, C-27J Spartan military transport aircraft produced by the Italian Leonardo company was demonstrated to President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport on the Day of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan. Yerevan, Paris and other countries also noticed this.

Moreover, Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto, Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Edmondo Cirielli, and Chairman of Leonardo S.p.A. Stefano Pontecorvo attended the event.

This was an eloquent answer to all those forces who hoped for Armenia’s military revenge.

The Azerbaijani army is too strong and combat-ready. Moreover, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces are intensively strengthened.
