Azerbaijan continues to build Aghdam-Fuzuli highway

Azerbaijan continues the construction of the Aghdam-Fuzuli highway at a rapid pace, the foundation of which was laid during the visit of President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva to Fuzuli District on October 17, 2021.

The length of the four-lane highway will be 64.8 kilometres while the width - 15 metres, Caliber.Az reports, citing Spokesman for the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads Anar Najafli.

He said that the earthwork is currently underway, communication lines are being relocated, and the highway is being paved.

The various water pipes are being laid along the highway, as are underpasses and new road bridges.

This highway is one of the projects being implemented in the economic regions of Karabakh and East Zangazur that will play an important role in the social and economic development of cities, districts, and villages liberated from Armenia's long-term occupation.
