Israel recalls ambassadors from Ireland, Norway over Palestine's recognition as state

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz has ordered the recall for consultations of the Jewish state's ambassadors to Ireland and Norway - countries that recognise the independence of the Palestinian state.

According to NEWSru.co.il, the foreign minister regarded such recognition as an attempt to undermine Israeli sovereignty and strike a blow to the security of the Jewish state.

"Thus Ireland and Norway proclaim: terror justifies itself," he said.

If Spain decides to recognise a Palestinian state, Tel Aviv would take a similar step and withdraw the Israeli ambassador in Madrid, Katz warned.
