NATO assures of readiness for conflict with Russia

Chair of the NATO Military Committee Rob Bauer has said that the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance are ready for a potential clash with Russia.

He made the remarks in an interview with the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's publication ArmyInform.

He recalled that from 2019 NATO countries began to return to the concept of collective security, changing defence strategy, planning, and reforming forces to perform tasks.

"Are we ready? The answer is Yes. It is our main task to be ready. If it happens today, then you have to fight with what you have. It's always a combination of being ready for today while improving capabilities for the future," Bauer said.
