Ukraine rejects idea of using defence strategy

Ukraine has rejected the idea of using defence strategy.

Head of the Ukrainian presidential office Andriy Yermak has said that the conflict will be frozen if the Ukrainian Armed Forces uses a defence strategy, according to Lenta.ru.

“We will never accept a frozen conflict with Russian President Vladimir Putin,” he said in an interview with the French Le Figaro newspaper.

Yermak noted that the situation at the front is hard. There are few soldiers and military resources.

“Some soldiers need rest,” the head of the Ukrainian presidential office added.

Yermak said that the Ukrainian government and the General Staff are currently working on a new law on mobilisation, as well as on a “realistic military strategy”.
