Azerbaijani community holds picket in Toronto

The Azerbaijani community living in the Canadian city of Toronto held a picket in protest against the recent provocations and aggressive policy of Armenia.

The action was organized by the Center for Culture and Art "Veten" on Mel Lastman Square, Report was told at the State Committee for Work with Diaspora.

Representatives of the Jewish and Turkish communities also took part in the picket.

The protesters demonstrated posters with the slogans “Karabakh is Azerbaijan!”, “Azerbaijan wants peace!”, “Armenia distorts facts and deceives the world community!”, “Mines laid by Armenia kill civilians!” and etc.

During the action, cars with LED screens plied the streets of Toronto. The screens displayed the inscriptions “Azerbaijan wants peace, Armenia wants war”, “Armenian mines = a war crime” and others.

It should be noted that Azerbaijani diaspora organizations held protests against the provocations committed by Armenia on September 12-13 on the state border with Azerbaijan in almost 30 countries of the world. Appeals and statements were sent to authoritative international organizations and world leaders.
