Armenians protest against arrival of Presidents Putin, Lukashenko to Yerevan

People gathered for mass protests in Armenia's capital late November 22 expressing their anger over the arrival of Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus.

Caliber.Az reports on this, citing Armenian Telegram channels that published videos showing people taking to the streets with Armenian, Ukrainian, American, French and other flags for a march called "Armenia without the CSTO".

"Russia, leave!", "Russia is the enemy!", "Glory to Ukraine, Glory to the Heroes!" were slogans that could be heard.

Caliber.Az recalls, that the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a Moscow-lead security alliance, is scheduled to be held on November 23 in Yerevan to be attended by high-ranking officials from the member countries. The Secretary of Russia's Security Council, Nikolay Patrushev, has already arrived in Yerevan to attend multiple meetings.
