Armenian Speaker to visit Russia for CSTO Parliamentary Assembly session
The Armenian delegation, led by Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan, who is the head of the permanent delegations of the CIS countries and the CSTO [Collective Security Treaty Organisation] Interparliamentary Assembly, will attend the joint session of the CSTO PA Council and the 15th plenary session in Moscow on December 4-6.
"Hakob Arshakyan, Andranik Kocharyan, and Tigran Abrahamyan from the I Have Honour faction will also go?" Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenia's Hraparak newspaper.
"Geham Manukyan from the Armenia faction refused to leave because of another business trip. There will be eight more people from the National Assembly staff. Last year in Moscow, Simonyan proposed to hold this meeting in Yerevan, why was this proposal not accepted?
The press service of the National Assembly reported: 'In 2019, the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly and the CSTO Council was held in Yerevan, and on June 6 of this year, a meeting of the CSTO PA Council was also held, so it was decided to hold it in Moscow'," the newspaper writes.
