Azerbaijan, Vietnam discuss energy cooperation

Azerbaijan and Vietnam are considering closer cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
The statement came from Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov in a meeting with the newly appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dang Minh Khoi on February 8, Report informs.
During the conversation, the sides highlighted the great potential between the two countries for the development of cooperation in various fields, including the field of energy.
Particular focus was put on the possibilities of expanding ties between the companies of Azerbaijan and Vietnam and the importance of improving the legal framework between the two countries was emphasized.
They also reviewed the activities of the Azerbaijani-Vietnamese intergovernmental commission on economic, trade, scientific and technical cooperation and the work done since the last meeting in Baku and exchanged views on the upcoming meeting in Vietnam.
