Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed the results of the Brussels meeting with the MPs of the "Civil Contract" faction and ministers at a closed meeting.
"Pashinyan first presented the details of the Brussels meeting and summarised the results, while the members of the State Duma were mostly in the role of listeners, only some of them asked questions to the prime minister. Although Pashinyan said that an agreement with Azerbaijan could not be reached on a number of important issues, the Brussels meeting was generally welcomed," Caliber.Az reports, citing an Armenian newspaper.
The newspaper notes that the upcoming meetings of Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders in Moscow and Chisinau were not discussed. At the end of the meeting internal political issues, activities of the party, and the upcoming parliament session were discussed.
Trilateral talks of Azerbaijani, Armenian leaders the European Council president were held in the capital of Brussels on May 14.
In early May, foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia held four-day talks in Washington. Another meeting between Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev was scheduled for June 1 in Chisinau.
However, on May 18 the Armenian prime minister said that he would go to Moscow on May 25 to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
