Russia exposes concerns over April 5 Armenia-EU-US high-level Brussels meeting
Moscow warning against growing western influence

"In Washington, Brussels, and Yerevan, there is a puzzling naivety regarding the concerns surrounding the upcoming Armenia-EU-US high-level meeting on April 5. It's claimed as if it's not directed against any third party," as reported by Caliber.Az and reiterated by Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova in her Telegram channel.

"Such events stir apprehension in Russia because representatives of the US and EU openly communicate to our partners that their primary focus is exclusively directed against Russia. This is expressed explicitly, in plain text.

"These gatherings raise concerns in most countries of the region because they are not aimed at fostering peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Instead, they signal a deeper entrenchment of Western influence with its highly destructive approaches into the South Caucasus. They create new fault lines, pressure regional countries to align with anti-Russian agendas, severing their centuries-old ties with Moscow, and undermining existing mechanisms of regional security and economic cooperation.

"The feigned ignorance by official Yerevan about the nature of these discussions is perplexing. Armenia is visibly being maneuvered into becoming a tool for the implementation of extremely perilous plans by the collective West, diametrically opposed to the fundamental interests of the Armenian people," Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova concluded in her Telegram message.
