Azerbaijan House inaugurated in Ankara, showcasing cultural heritage

In a celebration of Azerbaijani culture and heritage, the House of Azerbaijan was unveiled within the historic Estergon Fortress, nestled within the Kecioren municipality of Ankara, Türkiye.

Supported by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Türkiye, the opening ceremony marked a significant milestone in cultural diplomacy between the two nations, Report informs.

Reportedly, the House of Azerbaijan boasts a rich array of cultural artefacts, including vibrant carpets, traditional attire, exquisite souvenirs, captivating paintings, melodic musical instruments, and literary works. The space serves as a vibrant showcase of Azerbaijan's diverse cultural tapestry, offering visitors a glimpse into the nation's artistic legacy and historical heritage.

Symbolizing the deep-rooted bond between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, the House prominently features flags of both nations and portraits of their respective leaders, President Ilham Aliyev and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, alongside revered national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Addressing attendees, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Türkiye Rashad Mammadov expressed optimism about the House's future, noting plans to expand its collection with additional exhibits and literature, enriching its cultural offerings for visitors. Mammadov also extended gratitude to Turgut Altinok, Chairman of the Kecioren municipality, for his unwavering support and pledged to strengthen cooperation between the embassy and local authorities.

In reciprocation, Altinok commended the Azerbaijani embassy's proactive engagement in promoting cultural exchange and emphasized the significance of the enduring unity and brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Elchin Gafarly, the representative of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan in TÜRKSOY, Abdurrahmoni Mahmadullo, Consul of Tajikistan in Türkiye, Aziz Kyshtobaev from the Kyrgyz Embassy in Türkiye, as well as representatives from various circles, media outlets, and local residents.
