Azerbaijan, Turkiye enhancing healthcare cooperation

Azerbaijani Minister of Health Teymur Musayev has met with his Turkish counterpart Fahrettin Koca in Geneva as part of the anniversary session of the World Health Assembly.

During the meeting, the ministers of the two neighboring states discussed issues of further cooperation in the healthcare sphere, Caliber.Az reports.

Musayev and Koca negotiated to organise a "Business Forum in the Healthcare Sphere" in Baku.

It was said that Turkiye has extensive experience in holding a joint business forum in the field of healthcare, which had previously been held in the UK, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and other countries.

Such forums bring together private medical companies from the representing countries, as well as discusses the improvement of the financial mechanism in healthcare and investment opportunities.

In conclusion, the parties noted the expediency of increasing the intensity of meetings to achieve successful results in cooperation.

Within the framework of the 75th session of the World Health Assembly, which will wrap up on May 28, the Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister Musayev is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the ministers of health of the World Health Organization member countries and attend other events.
