Aghdam: New mega projects altering face of war-ravaged district Caliber.Az infographic
On December 24, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev traveled to the war-ravaged Aghdam District in Karabakh to lay the foundation stones for new villages that will include hundreds of houses for IDPs, kindergartens, schools, college buildings, collective recreation and educational facilities, administrative buildings, club community centers, medical points, pharmacies, hotels, and bazaars.
The president also inaugurated the 44.5 km Barda-Aghdam highway, the Khachinchay water reservoir with a capacity of 23m cu. m, laid the foundation for the fourth and fifth residential estates in Aghdam city, the city park on 5 ha, and inaugurated the Aghdam junction substation 110/35/10 kV owned by the Azerbaijani power company Azerenerji.
