During the event, the official website of the NAM Youth Organisation was also launched.
Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev said the Research Centre of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) would serve both the organisation’s values and principles, as well as promote Azerbaijan among member states.
He noted that the Centre would also contribute to the development of research skills among young people:
"At the Research Centre of the NAM Youth Organisation, young representatives from member states will have the opportunity to carry out their own research on various topics. Similar centres exist in all member states of the Non-Aligned Movement. The centre in Baku will coordinate its activities."
