Israeli PM's aircraft sustains damage
During transportation to the garage, “Wing of Zion” aircraft which is used by Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, sustained wing damage.
The plane was taken out of service after one of its wings was damaged during towing maneuvers. The repair will be completed before President Herzog's upcoming visits to Serbia and Albania next week, as well as before Netanyahu's trip to New York on September 23 for the UN General Assembly, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.
Necessary repair will be conducted following Boeing’s procedures. A crack was discovered in the cockpit windshield of “Wing of Zion” during a training flight to Washington in July. That issue was described as “routine” and all necessary repair was promptly carried out.
