Lavrov: Azerbaijani-Russian ties continue to develop steadily
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that Azerbaijani-Russian relations continue to develop steadily.
He made the statement after a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov in Moscow on December 5, Report informs.
Lavrov positively assessed his meeting with Bayramov. He noted that the development of bilateral ties is influenced, among other things, by relations at the highest level. The Russian foreign minister outlined that the Azerbaijani and Russian presidents met six times in 2022.
He said that the Declaration on Allied Cooperation had set the vector of future cooperation between Baku and Moscow.
Lavrov described the signing of the declaration in February as an important event of 2022. The minister said that the agreement is historic.
