Polish PM urges Ukraine to respect allies
12 February 2024 16:15
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has reminded Kyiv of the need to respect the interests of its allies in order to keep the assistance from Western countries.
Tusk emphasized that despite the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv, he cannot agree that "several thousand people" are profiting at the expense of Polish farmers. If the interests of Polish business are not taken into account, it will lead to a rise in anti-Ukrainian sentiment, he said, RMF 24 reports.
"The paradox is that if Ukraine wants to mobilize the entire Western world for its support in confronting Russia, it needs to respect the interests of individual members of this community... Otherwise, it is easy to break this enthusiasm and desire to support," Tusk noted.
