Some 207 Ukrainian captives return home after prisoner swap with Russia
A prisoner exchange took place between Ukraine and Russia on January 31. 207 Ukrainians returned home.
"Our people are back home. 207 guys. We are bringing them back no matter what. We remember everyone who is in captivity. Both servicemen and civilians. We have to bring everyone back. We are working on it. Now we have another great job done by the Ukrainian team. Budanov, Yermak, Usov, Maliuk and Klymenko – well done!" Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on social media according to RBC-Ukraine.
According to the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, among the Ukrainians who returned home are servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Service, as well as the National Police - privates, sergeants and officers. Among them are the defenders of Mariupol, who were at Azovstal, Snake Island, as well as those who fought in a number of directions.
In turn, the Russian Defence Ministry said that the exchange took place according to the formula 195 to 195, that is, Kyiv returned 195 servicemen of the Russian army for 195 soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
