Zelenskyy reveals number of settlements liberated from Russian occupation

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already liberated 1,888 settlements from Russian occupation, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

However, according to him, almost the same number of locations are under the temporary control of the Russian forces.

"On February 24, Russia launched a total war against us. And this is a war of survival. Hundreds of our cities and villages were burned to the ground due to Russian strikes,” Zelensky was quoted as saying by RBC-Ukraine.

He added that the struggle of the Ukrainian army for the liberation of native lands means that now the fate of millions of people is being decided on the battlefield in Ukraine.

Zelensky explained that Ukraine has no right to leave a single person under Russian occupation and to leave Ukrainians in Russian concentration camps, where thousands have gone missing, on Russian territory, where hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians were forcibly deported. However, he said Ukraine will be able to release all of them.
