Chimera of Harutyunyan-Vardanyan criminal tandem in Karabakh
Rally as a way of life

The life of an average Armenian has recently turned into a solid protest action for well-known reasons. Everyone participates in rallies irrespective of gender, age, social status, and political and ideological outlook. In Yerevan itself, protests are so frequent that the residents of the Armenian capital go to rallies as if they were going to work. In Armenia, the programme of protest actions, although diverse, has become commonplace and lost its essence - this year's rallying spring ended with null results. Nevertheless, rally organisers are still hoping to beat Pashinyan's 2018 record.

The Vardanyan-Arutyunyan gangster duo, entrenched in the RPC's temporary zone of responsibility in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, are living with similar hopes. Ruben Vardanyan, who recently arrived from Moscow, shows special zeal in organising rallies. Since his arrival, he has already tried several times to stage protests that would be visible even from outer space. Obviously, driven by the destructive idea of revanchism, Vardanyan is trying to play on the feelings of those Karabakh Armenians who are still living with thoughts of "miatsum" and who do not yet understand that they have been taken hostage by Harutyunyan and Vardanyan.

However, to claim 120,000 inhabitants on paper is not difficult, but to collect at least a third of that figure, in reality, is a chimerical task, to put it mildly. Nevertheless, on December 25 the Vardanyan-Harutyunyan gangster tandem attempted to do so.

As previously reported, including by Caliber.Az, there are currently no more than 25-30 thousand people living in the Karabakh economic region, which is temporarily in the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping forces. We cannot say that all of them are sick with "miatsum" - there are quite a few people among them who are displeased with the policy pursued by the self-proclaimed regime. But the criminal couple Vardanyan-Arutyunyan have their own ways of "persuasion" and luring to their actions. The bandit regime uses its wards and intimidation, torture, and violence to force the local population to participate in the rallies. The methods and tools of pressure on the people of Karabakh have long been known. And at December 25 rally in Khankendi, they attracted some people by force, some people by money, and some people by administrative pressure. The information about it appeared in the mass media, Facebook, and social networks long before December 25. Members of Armenian gangs, even those on leave, were ordered to attend the rally in civilian clothes and together with their family members. Ordinary Armenians were also forcibly summoned to attend the rally as a family. State employees were reportedly warned that they would be fired if they did not attend the rally. Even students were forcibly summoned and were promised serious problems in case of refusal. In addition, protesters were promised free internet packages to take pictures from the rally site. Special buses had been provided to transport people from surrounding villages to Khankendi, and each participant had been promised 30-40 dollars. All participants were openly hinted that attending the rally with children was preferable.

It is obvious that Vardanyan and Harutyunyan's bandits are holding the Armenian ethnic population of Karabakh hostage. Total surveillance of comments and posts on social networks is carried out, and the phones of the "unreliable" are tapped. The criminal regime makes all kinds of obstacles for Armenians, who want to leave Karabakh for humanitarian purposes. Even ecological action on the Lachin-Khankendi road is used by this regime for its own purposes. Despite the fact that the road is open, the henchmen of the criminal duo do not allow the Karabakh Armenians to use it to create a false picture of the humanitarian crisis in the eyes of the international community. Although all the video footage from the scene shows RPC and ICRC vehicles driving unimpeded along the Lachin road. However, the criminal "authorities" of Karabakh are deliberately spreading fake information that the Azerbaijani side is allegedly creating a humanitarian crisis.

Even a hint of protest against the occupation regime ends in beatings and violence. Arthur Aghajanov, a Karabakh Armenian, wrote about one such case: 'The Karabakh Armenian Yuri Musaelyan was beaten up in front of his children and wife. Araik's men attacked him only because he had gone to a protest in Khankendi, which he had been prompted to do by his difficult social situation. Musaelyan hoped to get support, but as a result, he got what he got. One of the reasons behind the situation around the Lachin corridor is the illegal exploitation of gold and copper deposits in Karabakh by Araik Harutyunyan, Ruben Vardanyan, and others like him. This situation has bothered me for many years because I found myself in the same position as all of you. I was forced to leave Azerbaijan just like hundreds of thousands of Armenians by people like Bako Sahakyan, Araik Harutyunyan, Robert Kocharyan, Serzh Sargsyan, Vitaly Balasanyan, and a few other "patriots". If not for the conflict caused by people like Araik, we wouldn't have to live through today's difficulties, and more people would be safe living in Karabakh today.

Don't be afraid to express your opinion. There should be more people like Yuri Musaelyan. Go out and demand your rights. We can solve social problems together with the Azerbaijani people. I believe there will be integration and all our problems can be solved together with the Azerbaijani people. I wish you a happy holiday in the coming days. I believe in your wisdom".

It is noteworthy that Vardanyan's henchmen go to all lengths to make the international community feel sorry for them. Today, on the call of the "state minister" children dressed in kimonos were taken to the field of Khankendi stadium to make a scene of the mass willingness of karate players to become "Vardanyan warriors". All this happens despite December frosts. If you look carefully at the shown video, you can see how children huddle under the cold, not really understanding what the adults want from them. And at that time, an oligarch who exploits children according to the worst "Hitler Youth" models, will rant in front of the camera about the hospitals which are unheated as a result of the "Artsakh" blockade arranged by evil Azerbaijani ecologists.

According to some information, the situation in Karabakh is quite difficult and there are many dissatisfied with the self-proclaimed "authorities". Yes, a few people such as Musaelyan declare it openly, but everything is clear here: it is not so easy to reach help and justice in Karabakh's "gray zone" where the junta of Vardanyan, Harutyunyan, general Oganovsky, and Balasanyan rules. But their number is growing day by day. And, as you know, it's impossible to shut the mouths of all of them.

At the same time, the top brass of the illegal gangs brazenly claims that 70,000 people attended the December 25 rally in Khankendi. Although in fact there were no more than 17-18 thousand at the protest. This is also indicated by data from the Mapcheking app. On the basis of photos and videos, it was found that 17,581 people managed to gather for the Khankendi rally. And this is despite the fact that the regime was using methods of psychological pressure on the local population.

At the same time, at the rally in Khankendi, Ruben Vardanyan, a Moscow-based Armenian swindler, promised to spend all his energy and resources on preserving the so-called "statehood", although it would be more reasonable for him not to poke his nose into Karabakh and live happily ever after in Moscow.
