Along with over million subscribers

The Facebook page of the well-known Azerbaijani news agency 1news.az has been groundlessly closed as a result of purposeful Armenian intrigues. The loss of this information platform, which had more than a million subscribers, is part of Armenia’s unfair information war.
Since the creation of its Facebook page, the activity of 1news.az website has been repeatedly restricted due to alleged violations of the rules of the social network.
The reason was publications about the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, which Facebook moderators considered inadmissible.
This virtual war became most intense during the second Karabakh war of 2020 when the website and pages on social networks were hacked. A "red" rating, which means deletion, was assigned to the 1news.az webpage on Facebook.
Then, the webpage administrators were also repeatedly blocked without any reason sometimes due to publications made ten years ago, which for a long time did not attract the attention of the Facebook moderators. The news agency representatives’ numerous attempts to find out the reason remained unanswered.
The 1news.az Facebook page with more than 1,300,000 subscribers was completely deleted on March 23 for no reason and without any notice.
The editors of 1news.az appealed to the corresponding agencies for getting support in the webpage restoration. However, the news agency mainly needs the support of readers!
Therefore, the news agency asks to follow its news on www.1news.az . It also opens a new Facebook page to continue sharing content with readers via the link.
Azerbaijan needs information platforms in social networks. Therefore, everything must be done to continue spreading the truth about our country by all available means. Caliber.Az also asks readers to support our colleagues. We are sure that we will be able to gain a victory over injustice with your help.
