Russian-Armenian buffoonery on Khankendi-Lachin road

    KARABAKH  05 April 2023 - 12:14

Once again, a cheap play is staged in Armenia, aimed at a gullible Western viewer. Under the scenario, Azerbaijanis in this action once again appear as these "bloodthirsty beings", who, although Nowruz Bayram is already behind, nevertheless, still "thirsty for the blood of peaceful people of Karabakh". And even a title has already been coined for the play - "Azerbaijanis have banned Artsakhis from entering Artsakh". It is enough to go through the Armenian media and social networks to make sure that the opposing side does not spare energy and PR means for this hastily concocted theatrical performance.

The reality, of course, is far from what Armenian gullible viewers are trying to be fed by the hapless scriptwriters. Informed sources told Caliber.Az that the day before, on April 4, at 18:15, RPC trucks pulled up to the venue of the eco-action, which carried 27 people from Armenia. Among the latter, incidentally, were not only women, old people, and children but also men of conscription age. Most importantly, the passage of passengers had not been agreed upon by the peacekeepers with the Azerbaijani side in advance, which led to a protracted clarification of the situation on the ground.

Given that the road from Gorus to Shusha is about two hours long and that the negotiations at the eco-action venue dragged on for several hours, the three passengers felt unwell during the wait. Well, anything can happen, a person may suddenly feel ill at heart, and we do not see anything criminal in it. The Azerbaijani side provided immediate medical assistance to the three passengers, and an Azerbaijani ambulance took them to a clinic in Khankendi. There is more to come.

While waiting, a woman started giving a video interview to a Russian peacekeeper (apparently, the fighter loved to film everything on camera as a child). It became evident that this action was provocative and had been prepared in advance, with Russian peacekeepers acting as directors and ordinary (or not so ordinary - it remains to be seen) Armenians as actors. The calculation was made so that the Azerbaijani side would give with its actions a reason for "blood-curdling shots of the blockade" so that Azerbaijani activists would break into the cabs of trucks, after which Armenian children would start crying and women would scream – and all this would be filmed on a camera that the peacekeepers had in advance.

In this case, the Azerbaijani side has shown remarkable restraint in recognising the provocation by the Russian-Armenian side. This is why the Armenian side is now spreading false stories that have no video confirmation. For example, a certain Gegham Stepanyan, claiming to be the "ombudsman of Artsakh", alleges that "according to preliminary information, some Azerbaijanis even broke into one of the waiting cars".

Moreover, the professional work of the Azerbaijani state authorities in providing medical assistance to people who suddenly felt unwell, and the photos of the Azerbaijani ambulance in Khankendi, destroyed the original plans of the organisers altogether. Their plot backfired.
