Pro-Armenian bribe-taker Menendez plots another dirty trick against Azerbaijan
A lawyer disloyal to the law

    ANALYTICS  15 November 2023 - 15:35

The US representative from New Jersey's 3rd congressional district Andy Kim, who has officially launched a campaign to oust pro-Armenian Senator Bob Menendez, has voiced a thought that cannot be disputed, but which at the same time is an extremely naive view of realpolitik. Andy Kim argues “It doesn't have to be this broken politics where you just have people putting their own personal ambition ahead of what's good for this country.”

The entire biography of Bob Menendez is proof that it is possible to put personal ambitions and the desire to enrich oneself at any cost ahead of the interests of the country. As a matter of fact, Menendez continues to act in his usual way to this day. This time, Menendez urged the US Congress to stop supporting Azerbaijan, including the military aid.

"The ancient Armenian community of Nagorno-Karabakh has fled the country because of the brutal Azerbaijani regime. Azerbaijan wants to wipe them off the face of the world. For months we have been watching the humanitarian crisis unfold. Studies have shown that every third death in the region is related to malnutrition," he shamelessly lied.

The truth, as we know, is that Armenians were settled in Karabakh relatively recently - after the Russo-Persian War of 1828. That is, Armenians have no historical connection with these lands. In fact, it is enough to recall at least that there is a monument "Maragha-150", exposing the territorial claims of Armenians to Azerbaijan. This monument was erected in 1978 in honour of the 150th anniversary of the resettlement of Armenians from Iran to Karabakh. The photo of the monument is available on the Internet. So, if you wish, both Bob himself and his Armenian wife Nadine can find it and admire it on cold November evenings.

As for the "brutal Azerbaijani regime", we should remind Menendez that this phrase is inappropriate to the leadership of the country, which had to restore its territorial integrity by military means, because Armenia, which Bob cajoles relentlessly, kept our lands under occupation for more than a quarter of a century, barbarically destroying them. Photos of all our occupied territories, especially Aghdam, which was turned into a Caucasian Hiroshima, can also be provided to the liar Menendez.

I can also remind him of statements of the second and third presidents of Armenia. Robert Kocharyan is the author of the statement about the "genetic incompatibility" of Armenians and Azerbaijanis. Serzh Sargsyan told the British journalist Tom de Waal that the genocide in Khojaly was necessary to break the stereotype that Armenians were not ready to kill the peaceful Azerbaijani population. So far Bob has not condemned these speeches of real Armenian fascists in any way.

Nor has he denounced the current Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, whose personal orders during the 44-day war resulted in rocket attacks on Ganja, Barda, Mingachevir and Terter, which killed civilians. I would like to note that Azerbaijan did not launch any missile strikes on Armenian cities. All hostilities were conducted exclusively on our land.

But Menendez uses his mouth exclusively to satisfy the desires of his Armenian sponsors. He will never point out that Armenia still keeps 8 Azerbaijani villages under occupation.

By the way, Menendez is stubborn in defence of his sponsors even while standing with one foot in prison. As is known, the US prosecutor's office accused Menendez and his wife Nadine Arslanian of corruption. Bob and Nadine received cash and gold bars worth hundreds of thousands of dollars in exchange for using their influence to benefit the Egyptian government. The feds also accused Menendez of acting on behalf of Egyptian military and intelligence officials between 2018 and 2022.

Here you have a vivid example of betrayal of the national interests of the United States, the corrupt person who until recently headed the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations! Bob Menendez, who received money for betraying his country, and who worked in the interests of special services of another state, has the nerve to point fingers at Azerbaijan. I admit that he is trying to earn a "graduation allowance" from the Armenian Diaspora of the United States in this way. But this is not our problem, but an American one. As long as such corrupt and deceitful characters as Bob Menendez are present in the American political arena, the profile of the United States in Azerbaijan, which is the leading state of the South Caucasus, will not be high.
