An exhibition dedicated to the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis opened on December 22 in the art gallery of the M.F.Akhundzade Museum of Azerbaijani Culture in Tbilisi.
The exhibition was organised jointly by the museum and the Union of Artists of Georgia, Azertag reports.
The exhibition features more than 25 works by Kamal Ahmed, Honoured Art Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Guram Tertstvadze, Chairman of the Union of Artists of Georgia, artists Gia Mrkozashvili, Khatuna Songulashvili, Tamaz Miksedlishvili, Teimuraz Kiknavelidze and sculptor Merab Khutaishvili.
Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev, Embassy staff, chairman of the board of the Union of Azerbaijani Businessmen of Georgia AZEBI Nariman Gurbanov, art and culture figures, representatives of business circles and the public attended the opening of the exhibition.
"There are very friendly relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Georgia. Art and cultural figures play a great role in the development of our ties. An exhibition of works by Georgian artists was recently organised in Baku. Today, the Union of Artists of Georgia together with the Museum has organised a new exhibition dedicated to the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis. I think such events serve to further expand and strengthen not only our cultural ties but also relations between the two countries in general," Guram Tertstvadze said in an interview with Azertag.
Ambassador Faig Guliyev highly appreciated the exhibition and thanked its organisers. He also stressed that the organisation of the exhibition dedicated to the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day in Tbilisi is a vivid example of the high level of relations between the two countries and the strong friendship of the Azerbaijani and Georgian peoples.
