Azerbaijan Operating Company COP29 gets new chairwoman
Narmin Jarchalova has been appointed chairwoman of the board of COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company.
She graduated from Azerbaijan University of Languages (Bachelor's degree) and in 2013 from ADA University (Master's degree), Caliber.Az reports citing the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
Later, she completed the Public Leadership Credential at the Harvard Kennedy School, and in 2021-2022, the Master's program in Public Administration at University College London (UCL), one of the world's most prestigious universities, with a dissertation on "Factors causing deforestation in the example of support to agriculture."
Since 2013, she worked in the International Relations Department at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, headed projects on environmental protection and climate activities at the Foundation, and worked in various positions at the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan.
She was the project manager of the Azerbaijan Pavilion of COP28 held in the UAE in 2023.
