Iraq, Iran, Syria sign agreement to combat terrorism

    WORLD  19 April 2024 - 09:42

Representatives of the judicial systems of Iran, Iraq and Syria signed a trilateral document on cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

The publication notes that representatives of the judicial systems of three states have signed a document on cooperation in identifying and eradicating terrorist groups following the meeting of the first round of meetings of the judicial and legal committee, Gazeta.ru reports citing IRIB.

The agency emphasizes that the meeting participants expressed their intention to bring justice to terrorists, no matter where they are in the world.

Prior to this, the US Department of Justice charged seven individuals from Iran and Turkey with terrorism. In total, four Iranians and three Turkish citizens are involved in this case.

In addition, the United States confiscated $108 million that the National Oil Company of China was planning to launder with the assistance of the defendants.

Earlier, the US Department of Justice announced that sixty-year-old American Kirill Buyanovsky pleaded guilty to illegal supplies of aviation equipment to Russia.

Previously, the United States promised Israel support in the event of an Iranian attack.
