President Aliyev: Azerbaijan, Turkiye are always together

I am very pleased to visit fraternal Turkiye again. I sincerely greet all my Turkish brothers.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made remarks while speaking at the opening ceremony of the Rize-Artvin airport in the Turkish city of Rize, Report informs.

“First of all, I would like to thank my dear brother, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for inviting me to this ceremony. I heartily congratulate you on the opening ceremony of this wonderful airport,” the president said.

“The second Karabakh war is our common, glorious history. We put an end to 30 year-occupation,” President Aliyev added.

“Mr. President, my brother Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s message that “Azerbaijan is not alone, Turkey is close to Azerbaijan” was a serious message for many people,” the head of state said.

The Azerbaijani president also stressed that today Turkiye is implementing big projects within the country.

“Among them, I would like to mention the projects that serve people. New airports, roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, all this shows Turkiye's development and strength based on the human factor, state policy,” President Aliyev said.

“It is a great pleasure for me to be with you today. The Azerbaijani president’s participation in this wonderful ceremony shows the Azerbaijani-Turkish unity. We are always together both on good days and on bad days,” the president added.
