Relations of Azerbaijan and Armenia with EU on Lithuanian leader's agenda

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda will discuss the prospects for relations of the Transcaucasus countries with the European Union and several other issues on the international agenda during his visit to Azerbaijan and Armenia on May 18-20.

TASS quoted the press service of the Lithuanian leader on Monday.

"The Lithuanian president will discuss with Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Vahagn Khachaturyan the prospects of cooperation of Azerbaijan and Armenia with the European Union within the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership program," the statement reads.

In both countries, the Lithuanian leader plans to exchange views on the security situation in the Transcaucasus region, the state of bilateral trade, and economic cooperation, including in the field of energy.

Gitanas Nausėda will also meet with Azerbaijani and Armenian Prime Ministers Ali Asadov and Nikol Pashinyan.
