Azerbaijan boosts spending for restoration of liberated Karabakh

Azerbaijan will allocate a total of almost 2.7 billion manats ($1.6 billion) for the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories this year.

This is 21.4% or 470 million manats ($277 million) more than the approved forecast, Report informs referring to the updated draft law "On the state budget of Azerbaijan for 2022".

State budget expenditures for construction and urban planning are set at nearly 6 billion manats ($3.6 billion), which is 980.6 million manats ($577 million) or 19.6% more than the previous budget forecast.

Of these, roughly 4 billion manats ($2.3 billion)  (17.8% or 496.6 million manats more than the previous forecast) are state capital investments.
