Armenia played wrong card once again
Baku has set clock ticking for Yerevan

Destroyed Armenian positions and military equipment, dozens of wounded and dead, and lost strategic heights. And an overwhelming sense of shame and humiliation after a showy public punishment. All these feelings could have been avoided on August 3 if the Armenian side had thought about it in a slightly rational way. But Nikol Pashinyan is the undisputed champion of the entire Caucasus for stepping on the same rake. He and his team really believed that Armenia is Nancy Pelosi and Azerbaijan was the country China has recently warned.

Baku has long and persistently warned and exhorted, but Armenians, just as two years ago, took this position as weakness. This was evidenced by the self-assured statement of Armen Grigoryan, the Secretary of the Armenian Security Council, who publicly refused on August 3 to shift to the new route of the Lachin road. Well, there should be real strength behind such confidence.

But the Armenian authorities have once again miscalculated their military and political resources by misjudging the international situation, as they did once before in 2020. The murder of 18-year-old conscript Anar Kazimov cost Armenia a great deal. Neither Russia, nor Iran, nor faraway France came to save Armenians from our vengeance. In the world of big politics, it is the power, resources, and charisma of leaders that decide, not gift socks in the colors of the Armenian flag.

August 3 was another successful day for the Azerbaijani army. The Turkish Bayrakatars stretched their wings, and the special forces did what they always prepare for in exercises - they neutralized the enemy and took new strategic positions. New, but far from the last. There will definitely be more. After all, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has finally made its demands clear: demilitarization of the area of temporary responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, which includes both the immediate withdrawal of the Armenian Armed Forces and the disarmament of local gangs. These conditions, which need to be fulfilled here and now, are non-negotiable. There is less and less time for decisions, and every lost day of negotiations will mean a new day of fighting. Baku has set the clock ticking for Yerevan!
