Azerbaijani FM: Intensive talks prove Baku, Moscow in active dialogue
Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has said that intensive talks between Azerbaijan and Russia at all levels testify to an active dialogue between the two countries.
He made the remarks at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on December 5, Report informs.
Bayramov recalled that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.
"An important topic of today's discussions will be the post-conflict issue, the progress in implementing the trilateral agreements," Bayramov added.
Meanwhile, Lavrov said Russia intends to contribute to the unblocking of transport links, the delimitation of borders and the conclusion of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
"We are interested in promoting the unblocking of transport ties, the delimitation of the border, the conclusion of a peace treaty and the strengthening of confidence-building measures in general, including contacts between civil society organisations, political analysts and parliamentarians," Lavrov said.
Lavrov also concurred with Bayramov in urging the implementation of the trilateral agreements reached between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia in November 2020, January-November 2021 and during the the Sochi meeting in October this year.
"In addition, interaction in the region, the Caspian dynamics, the OSCE [Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe], the CIS [Commonwealth of Independent States] and other processes are also on the agenda," the Russian foreign minister added.
