Hundreds of bomb shelters open in Tel Aviv

As many as 240 bomb shelters have been opened in Tel Aviv on the instructions of the Israel Home Front Directorate, said Ilana Michaeli, advisor to the mayor of the city.

Public events have been cancelled and beaches have been closed, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media. 

“The city has opened 240 bomb shelters, closed beaches and cultural institutions, cancelled public events. There is a programme to use underground parking lots as bomb shelters in case of need,” she said.
