Iranian FM hails SCO chief position over Palestine
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has praised the positive and constructive positions of the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Zhang Ming regarding the events in Palestine.
During the meeting in Tehran, the top Iranian diplomat emphasized the importance of the expansion of the Islamic Republic of Iran's economic and commercial cooperation, Mehr News Agency reports.
He emphasized the proposed initiative of the first vice president of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Bishkek meeting on economic and industrial cooperation, including investment, transportation, transit, and environment, and requested the support and follow-up of the Secretary General of the organization in implementing it.
For his part, the SCO chief thanked Amir-Abdollahian for the successful holding of the Palestine Conference and the principled positions of Iran towards the Palestinian nation.
He also expressed the view of the SCO regarding the Palestine issue from the perspective of the importance that the Shanghai Organization attaches to the security of the West Asia region.
