Russian leader on Armenian premier, relations with Georgia President Putin may visit Armenia
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that he would visit Armenia after the situation normalises.
“Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan can also visit the Russian Federation, but he “has no opportunity to travel now”. We always get in touch with Pashinyan. He was invited to visit Russia. Let's see. We understand everything, we are all adults. We understand what is happening there. This is the tragedy of the Armenians of Karabakh. He probably has no opportunity to travel right now. We are constantly communicating with him. When the situation normalises, I will go and see him, he will come,” the Russian leader told reporters, TASS says.
The Russian leader also commented on relations with Georgia.
“As for the Russia-Georgia relations, they are smooth. Georgia is greatly interested in cooperation with neighbouring countries. Georgia’s attitude towards the CIS countries deteriorated after provocations by the former Georgian leadership regarding South Ossetia. In my opinion, it should be blamed, rather than the CIS countries, this is its choice. Georgia has more economic benefits as part of good-neighbourly relations than without them,” President Putin added.
