Ukrainian official emphasizes need for peaceful negotiations with Russia

Ukrainian presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak has affirmed the necessity of peaceful negotiations with Russia, underlining that such talks must adhere to international law.

Podolyak highlighted Ukraine's firm stance on the terms of any future negotiations, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.

"Negotiations are certainly necessary, but Ukraine clearly says: let us negotiate on terms based on international law as a concept," Podolyak stated.

He emphasized that the foundation of this concept is the "territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine."
