US to host int'l conference on Middle Corridor

On December 12, an international conference "Middle Corridor: Coordination of Economies through Ports and Air transportation" will be held in Baltimore (USA).

The conference will be organised by the Azerbaijan-USA Chamber of Commerce (USACC), the mission to Azerbaijan of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Global Chamber and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the USA, Report informs.

During the event, importers, exporters, shippers, consignees, freight forwarders and other participants of the trade sector will exchange views and discuss the possibilities of air transportation and the development of ports in Azerbaijan, the Central Eurasia region and beyond.

The event will be attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to US Khazar Ibrahim, USAID Deputy Assistant Manager for Europe and Asia Alexander Sokolovsky, USACC Chairman Rza Vaziri and Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission Asset Asavbayev. Sessions will be held at the conference with the participation of representatives of Silk Way West Airlines and Boeing, the Baku International Commercial Sea Port and the Port of Maryland.
