Irish MP urges accountability for Azerbaijani embassy assailant

The perpetrators of the armed attack on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran must be brought to justice and strongly condemned.

The statement came from the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Ireland's parliament Charlie Flanagan, Report informs.

"I express my condolences to the family of the dead guard [Orkhan Asgarov]. The perpetrators must be brought to justice. Countries hosting embassies have clear obligations under the Vienna Convention on the Protection and Security of Diplomatic Missions," Flanagan said.
