Austrian companies keen on renewable energy cooperation in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh

There is potential for Austrian companies’ cooperation in renewable energy in Azerbaijani territories liberated from Armenia’s occupation.

Report informs citing The Azerbaijani Energy Ministry that this statement was made during a meeting with Austrian companies within the 10th meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic, Agricultural, Industrial, Technical and Technological Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Austria. 

A presentation, which covered such issues as the renewable energy potential in Azerbaijan, including offshore wind energy, the institutional environment in this sphere and the steps taken to achieve the set goals, plans for the future, etc., was shown.

The representatives of the companies, participating in the meeting, informed about their profiles and spheres of activity and also expressed interest in exploring the potential opportunities for cooperation in solar energy and hydropower in the liberated territories.
