Azerbaijani MP: Land border opening to be considered soon

Azerbaijani MP Vahid Ahmadov has said that the opening of land borders will be considered in the near future and a positive solution will be found.

According to him, the land borders must necessarily be open, since not everyone has the opportunity to fly by plane, Bizim.Media reports.

"Due to the spread of coronavirus and monkeypox, land borders remain closed. But, in my opinion, the sooner the borders open, the better. We're not just talking about tourism development here. How many of our compatriots in foreign countries are still unable to visit their families? Land borders are in high demand. In this regard, we receive a large number of complaints and appeals. The decision to open the land borders, in my opinion, should be made unequivocally," the MP said.

Azerbaijan has closed its land borders since March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
