Armenian defence minister embarks on visit to France
A delegation of the Armenian Defence Ministry led by Minister Suren Papikyan has left for France.
"On June 17, the delegation led by Defence Minister Suren Papikyan left for France on a working visit," Sputnik Armenia reports, citing the Ministry's press service.
There is no word on the agenda of the visit or planned meetings.
Papikyan's previous visit to France was in February. Documents on further military-technical cooperation with Paris were signed in Yerevan on February 23. Similar agreements were signed in October 2023 there.
In early June, Papikyan was in Bulgaria, where he discussed military cooperation issues with his colleague Atanas Zapryanov. In late May, Papikyan visited Belgium, where they also discussed cooperation issues. In early March, the head of Armenia's defense ministry visited Iran, where he held talks with the country's leadership; no other details were reported.
