Armenian PM announces extension of EU mission, criticizes CSTO

10 April 2024 11:49

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the term of the European Union civilian (in fact intelligence - ed.) observation mission in Armenia (EUMA Armenia) may be extended for another 2 years.

At the same time, Pashinyan noted that the deployment of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) peacekeepers would lead to the establishment of a puppet government in Armenia, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.

"CSTO observers would be present in Armenia as peacekeepers, not as allies. Armenia was thus excluded from its system of security guarantees," Pashinyan noted.
